Boots Haul

Following on from last week's post with skincare, I thought that I would share with you a little Boots haul.

This is my second bottle and really love using this after I have taken off my makeup take make sure I haven't left any on my skin. It is really gentle on my skin as it doesn't give me a burning sensation that certain products do.

The amount of tweezers that I lose is ridiculous! I couldn't find the last pair that I lost so thought I would pick a pair up.

I always use this for under my eyes as it gives a full coverage and really helps to brighten up the area to stop me looking so tired. I always go back to this and it must be my 4th or even 5th tube of it.

This is a new product that L'Oréal have released and have seen many people using it. As my skin is having one of its moments, I thought I would give it a try.

I'm sure you have all heard about this mascara as every man and his dog has spoken about this! I love how it separates my lashes and how feminine they look rather than being all clumpy which I hate. I have both the normal and waterproof version of this but the normal had dried up so it had to be replaced.

I really love this range that NYX have done! I already have 2 (Stockholm and Zurich) and thought I would pick up another to add to the collection as they are used on a daily basis and are perfect size for any bag.

I normally use the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser but it is an expensive cleanser. Don't get me wrong, I love it but fancied a change. I saw this and thought that I would give it a go as it was around the £3-£4 range so if I didn't like it, it wasn't the end of the world. I have used this for the past week now and really love it. It is very similar to the Liz Earle cleanser as it is a cream formula and I think I actually prefer this over it and especially for the price!

I use the simple moisturiser but couldn't find the stand in Boots. I found this which looks similar to the simple packaging and claims to do the same things. Boots had an offer of their own products so thought that I would get this ready for when mine runs out.

Have you tried any new products recently?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

Holiday Essentials

A couple of weeks ago I made a little purchase on the Feel Unique website for a few holiday essentials. I was about to pack them up when I thought that I would let you have a peak into what I am going to using on a daily basis.

I bought this as I hate the feeling of sun cream on my face as it gets really sticky and you look ever so shiny. On the website it says that it is light weight and not greasy so you shouldn't be able to feel as if you're wearing anything. This for me is a big bonus and it is waterproof as well which seems to tick all of the boxes.

I suffer with redness on my face and someone told me that if you use aloe vera, it helps to calm it the same way it does with sun burn. I simply bought this as I had run out and fancied trying something different as well as needing it whilst I'm away.

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you will know that I am big fan of Carmex lip balms and think I have pretty much had all of them now. One thing I do hate about the pots it having the lip balm up your nail after applying it. I saw this and loved the idea and the scent is vanilla which is another one of my favourites. It has the same consistency and I will be definitely getting some more of these!

I suffer with eczema so I often have dry skin. This most common place is on my hands so I was on the look out for a really moisturising hand cream and saw this. I use the body butter when I fake tan on dry patches so thought that I would give it a go. It is really thick so helps to keep my hands moisturised for longer and the scent again is another bonus.  I will have to repurchase it again when it runs out as I am so impressed with it!

If you would like me to do a mini review on the Hawaiian Tropic products, let me know and I will try and have it up shortly.

Have you got any holiday essentials that you take away with you?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

Driving Test Experience

Monday 11th July... TEST DAY!

On Sunday night I kept thinking about scenarios that may happen in my test such as someone running into the road, going too slow, going too fast etc. Everything you can think of was going through my head so I had to out some music on as a distraction to get to sleep. At 1:45am I woke up due to overthinking and couldn't get back to sleep for another 3 hours!

I had breakfast but couldn't bring myself to have any lunch as I felt too sick. Distractions really help to take you mind off it.

I had a lesson before my test and finally managed to calm myself down as I could actually focus on driving rather than everything that may happen. I had my test at 2:32pm and I had the dreaded reverse round the corner as my manoeuvre which is my worst but managed to do it! I pulled back into the test centre, parked up and was extremely happy to be told I had PASSED FIRST TIME!

I now have the challenge of saving up for a car but looking forward to going out on my own and having that sense of freedom.

Have you got your test coming up? Have you already passed?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

Catfish And The Bottlemen Gig

On Friday, a group of us travelled to Manchester to go and see Catfish And The Bottlemen. They were playing at the Castlefield Bowl which is an outdoor venue in Manchester that has both standing and seating areas in the city centre.

They were supported by Vant who opened the evening at 6:30pm. Broken Hands and Little Comets followed them before the arrival of Catfish at around 9:15pm.

The atmosphere was incredible as everyone around you is there for the same reason enjoying the quality music. It wasn't until the middle of their set that I read the backdrop and realised what it actually said. Due to them playing at Castlefield Bowl, they had changed their band name for the night to 'Castlefield and the Bowlmen' which I thought was a really personal touch for the evening. You were able to buy a t-shirt with it on as well as the original band merch.

Despite the issue with flares and people getting a little too drunk and having to be escorted out of the venue, it helped to bring a little realisation to the evening and make it something to remember! Thanks lads!

Have you head their music? Have you seen the live?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

3 Ways To De-Stress

I know I'm a little late with this post but better late than never right? Since I have been doing exams and exam prep etc. I have noticed that I was getting more and more stressed out over things related to exams and just small generic things. My skin is the biggest giveaway that I am stressed as I have big breakouts. I'd just thought I'd share a few tips that help me to de-stress in the hope that it helps others.

1. Making Time For Yourself
You may be thinking yeah, yeah, well that's obvious but do you actually do it? I know that I forget sometimes when deadlines are hanging over me and there is so much to be done. By giving yourself an hour or two to relax and chill out helps me to be in a better mood and frame of mind when going back to the work rather than sitting at the computer trying to actually do it which results in less work actually being done because I've been distracted.

2. Go For A Walk
If I am really stressed out and need some fresh air, I will go on a short walk just so that I can get out of the 'work environment' and clear my head a little and distract myself. You don't have to go for a walk as it could be as simple as just going to the kitchen to get a drink or something to eat as long as your'e getting away from the room and doing something else. You could even have a quick chat whilst you're there to engage with something else and talk about something random.

3. Meet With Friends
If there is a group of you that are feeling a little stressed or just need a reason to meet up then why not? You could go for a meal, shopping, day out, picnic, literally whatever you feel would be best. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one to benefit from it as people around you will be more relaxed as they can see that you have relaxed and there isn't a large amount of tension.

Have you got an tips on ways to de-stress?
