Wish List 2016

I've been looking at these sandals for a while now due to the style and colour. I love the simplistic design and how delicate they look.

ABH Dipbrow Pomade
This is another item that I have been debating whether to buy or not. Last week I actually bought it in the shade medium brown but it looked too dark so I'm now wondering if I should get the shade chocolate.

ABH Liquid Lipstick - Stripped
I'm really enjoying using liquid lipstick due to the fact that they last much longer and don't smudge once dried. I've heard good things from these liquid lipsticks and the shade stripped is one that I will definitely be buying at some point.

ABH Glow Kit - That Glow
I think every beauty lover has this either on their list or has given in and already bought this. I think this is good value for money as you are getting 4 highlighters in the palette and they given off some serious glow from the swatches I've seen!

Becca X Jaclyn Hill - Champagne Pop
I feel that I'm pretty slow with this but still haven't manage to bring myself to buy it yet. I love that fact I would be able to use it for numerous purposes as a highlight and an eyeshadow for a sparkle on the lid.

Charlotte Tilbury - Instant Look Palette
I really like the concept of this palette as there is literally everything you need all in one making it really good for travelling or compacting all of makeup in to one.

Have you got anything on your wish list?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

Current Concealers Choices

I use concealer most days without fail unless I am giving me skin a break or simply can't be bothered to apply makeup so these have had a thorough test for the past few months.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
I usually go for high coverage concealers to cover up any blemishes or redness on my face. For Spring, I wanted something that had a thinner consistency so that I couldn't feel a mass amount of product on my face. I'd hear good things about the Wake Me Up range so thought that I would give the concealer a try and really love it. It is great for covering up redness around my nose and forehead but isn't that great at covering spot as the coverage isn't pigmented enough.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I have already done a post about this here.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer
Linking back to wanting a thinner consistency concealer, I wanted something that wasn't going to crease under my eyes and look cakey for the Spring/Summer and came across this concealer. This really helps to brighten/highlight the face without adding the extra full coverage which isn't needed. However, the one thing I do not like with this is that it has the brush attached to the end as all of the product begins tot gather up on the brush. I would buy more of this concealer if it had the doe foot applicator as you can control how much comes off rather than squeezing too hard and have a mass amount of product come out that can't be put back.

What are your current favourite concealers?

theBalm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Liquid Lipstick - Committed Review

Following on from last week and the theme of liquid lipsticks, I thought I would mention the very first one that I bought.

I'd seen this feature on Instagram as part of a swatch and this colour really stood out to me as I tend to stick around nudes and play it safe. I'd heard about the liquid lipstick hype and thought I would see for myself what all the fuss is about.

I bought this from Feel Unique for £13.50 and you definitely get a fair amount of product and will last for a while. There is a mint scent/taste to the lipstick which is fairly strong whilst the product is still wet so if you're not a mint lover, this may put you off.

I found that the drying took a fair amount of time (10 mins) and then still feels a little tacky and I can tell there is something on my lips. However, I did find that it lasted for a few hours even after eating and drinking but once it got past this, I could see the cracks in my lips where the product had come off.

Overall, I do think that this is still a decent product and lasts much longer than an ordinary lipstick which is always beneficial when you are planning to eat and drink.

Have you tried any liquid lipsticks?

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Review

I have seen many people with these products online as well as in person. The liquid lipstick is becoming very popular and I have to say that I know why! They are really quick and convenient and last longer than a normal matte lipstick.

I went for the NYX ones as I had seen that a lot of people had tried them out and had good reviews about them as well as only being £5.50. I watched swatch videos on YouTube so that I could see what they looked like on rather than guessing online from the packaging. In the end, I chose the shades Stockholm (02) which is a peaching nude and Zurich (14) which is a pinky/coral nude.

They last for a few hours but less if eating with them on as they come off in the centre of the lips. However, it is longer than if you were wearing a normal lipstick as it would come straight off. The scent is somewhat vanilla with something else but isn't over-powering. It glides on the lips and has a really soft formula but dries matte after a few minutes.

Overall, I am really impressed as they are really good for the price and may have to go and pick up some more shades.

Have you tried the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams?

Travel Plans for 2016

After reading Holly's post last week, I thought that it was a great way of being able to plan throughout the year and then be able to cross them off as you go along. By doing this, you are one step closer to actually going and have a visual indication of when you go.

I really want to go to London for my birthday this year and have a weekend break and do some shopping whilst I'm there so this is definitely somewhere I want to keep exploring. I have been a few times but only remember a few areas and haven't been to them all.

It has become somewhat a tradition to go to Newquay every summer and I really enjoy going. I find the sound of the sea very therapeutic so it helps me to unwind despite the mad rush of the summer season there.

Venice is a city that I have never been to and I was gutted at the fact we were unable to go whilst we were in Italy last year. As a family, we have decided that when we go back this year we are 100% going as myself and my mum want to visit.

I really enjoy going to the beach as the waves are so relaxing and the feeling of sand through your toes puts me in to a holiday mode. Although Brighton doesn't have sandy beaches, there is something intriguing about sitting on the rocks with an ice cream just watching the world go by.

Where would you like to visit this year?
