My Favourite Moisturisers

These three moisturisers have been something that I have been reaching for near enough everyday. The two facial moisturisers I alternate between depending on how my skin is feeling and the gradual tanner is something that I will apply for a couple of days together and then leave for the next few so that I don't apply too much and go too dark.

The first is a gradual tanning cream. It is the Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion (Fair to Medium Skin). I only starting using this about a month ago because I’m quite pale. I needed something to give me a slight amount of colour without looking daft. I had heard many people talk about this and thought that I would give it go. It adds a lovely amount of colour but sadly, doesn’t last long which is a shame so I have to top it up every few days.

The second is the Simple Kind To Skin Replenishing Rich Moisturiser. My Mum bought me this for when I went skiing to avoid my skin becoming really dry. I use this when I feel my skin is feeling a little dry or just needs a little more something. I normally apply this after I have had a shower in the morning and I am not planning on wearing any makeup throughout the day.

The final one is The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. I use this this most as it just adds a light layer of moisture and it soaks in really quick so I’m not waiting around for it to soak in. As I apply this before I go to bed, I apply this first and one I have finished apply my hand cream and lip balm, it has soaked in and I’m ready to go to sleep.

What is your favourite moisturiser? Have you tried any tanning products and do you have any that you recommend?

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed

My Favourite Scents

I haven’t seen many bloggers do this sort of post but I thought I’d share with you my 4 favourite scents. These range from an every day to an occasion scent or just depending how I’m feeling on the day.

The first is a body mist and it is the Hollister Palisades Beach Body Mist. This is usually my every day scent that I reach for simply because it is such a fresh scent which lasts for ages. I have put some of this into a small travel sized spray so that I can top it up if I need to. This was originally called Laguna Beach but they’ve renamed is to Palisades Beach. I have both bottles because I think it is perfect for summer and had to repurchase is because my other was nearly empty.

The second is the Calvin Klein CK One Shock For Her. I really like sweet scents and this is exactly what this perfume is. This is another every day scent which I reach for is a feel like switching it up from the Hollister mist. I had the 50ml version of this and because I loved it that much, I got this as a present and this is the 100ml version which I have nearly finished. I may have to purchases this again because I love it so much!

The third is the Jack Wills Hope Cove perfume. I only got this at Christmas for myself so I have been using more whereas I used to use my Mum’s which we ‘shared’. This is the complete opposite to what I would normally go  for and it isn’t something that I could wear on an every day basis but something I would wear in autumn/winter. I can see this being something that you would either really like or really hate.

Finally, this has to be one of my most favourite perfumes I have ever had! It is the Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum. I came across this perfume when I was waiting for my Mum in Debenhams. She was looking at perfumes and I thought I’d join her and this was when I came across this. I think it’s safe to say I’d fallen in love with it and still love it today. Due to the price, I try and keep this for an occasion or if i feel not my best, I put this on and it makes me feel a little more alive and awake.

What is your favourite scent?

10 Things I Would Like To Do This Summer

As I am finishing my GCSE’s this year, I will be having more than my usual 6 week holiday off from school. Some of my friends will be going off to college and some staying with me at sixth form. I really want to do something with them all and not only to finish my time with them but get to know the people I will be with for the next couple of years a little better. These are 10 things I would like to do this summer.

  1. I want to go to a festival with a few of my friends.
  2. Go on a day trip, maybe to London or something.
  3. Go out on the bikes with friends and take a picnic with us.
  4. Go camping for a couple of nights.
  5. Complete my NCS program.
  6. Push myself and do things I wouldn’t normally do.
  7. Go and support my brother and boyfriend at their golf competitions.
  8. Spend quality time with close friends and family
  9. Have numerous BBQ’s
  10. Go on holiday abroad.

What will you be doing this summer or what would you like to do?

Beauty Wishlist

I always seem to be on the look out for new makeup. This can range from a new foundation to an eyeshadow or even mascara (which seems to be the most frequent). I recently downloaded the Polyvore app which you can make little collections of items on and them save and publish them for people to see.
I created this little collection using the app and thought I’d share it with you.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette (£32). This palette has all the basic colours needed for a simple eye look and can be easily used to take a day look to night with a few simple colours. I love the colours and think that this would be a real staple in my collection.

Nars Deep Throat Blush (£23). I have been eyeing this up for a while as the colour is simply amazing! Every time I go into Space NK is always seem to  pick it up without realising.

Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick - Pink (£34). How beautiful?! Every time I see someone with this on I instantly fall in love. It adds the perfect amount of colour to the cheeks whilst also being a highlighter. I think that this will be a great blush for all year round.

Clarins Essential Eye Palette (£35). This palette is similar to the Too Faced as it has neutral colours in it but there is a much larger range and the colours are mostly different shades of brown. This palette is so pretty!

Bobbi Brown Shimmering Sands Eye Palette (£52). As this seems to be all about palettes (wasn’t intentional!) why not have another? This Bobbi Brown palette has more shimmers in than mattes. This is like a dream palette due to colours.

Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set (£56.95). OH MY GOODNESS! I have been eyeing up these brushes for ages! The rose gold just makes the brush even more beautiful. The fact that they range from apply the base to being able to create a smokey eye is amazing and well worth the money.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation (£32). I have heard many mixed reviews about this foundation. As the summer months are getting closer, I prefer to have a lighter base and to wear minimal makeup because 1) I don't want to feel masked in makeup on a hot day and 2) I can’t really be bothered as I’d rather be out and enjoying the sun that perfecting the right technique to a flawless face (lazy I know but true). This is suppose to have a great finish but feel really lightweight on the skin.

My Shoe Collection - Heels

Ever since I could walk, I was told I had a little shoe obsession. I remember a few years ago, my Mum telling me that when I was 3, I went round to my friends house and went out to play in the garden in her Gran’s gold heels (this just sums me up!)

The first pair are my Sadie Carvela Tan Kurt Geiger heels. These are a favourite in my collection and they go with most outfits. I have paired them with a knee-length black dress and a tan belt which I wore in summer. For winter, I have worn then with a black pair of tailored trousers and a black cami top with a brown cardigan.

The second pair are my Roberto Vianni heels (sadly I can't find a link for them). They have a suede material on the top and a straw-like texture around the base. My Mum bought these for me as we were going to a wedding and I needed some nude heels to go with my dress. As I have dodgy heels, I have to wear slingback heels so that my shoes stay on and don’t give me blisters. I've found that they are so comfy and fit perfect!

My final pair are the Faith Black Strap High Sandals. I found it really strange that I didn’t have a pair of black heels that fit me. My Mum bought me these as part of my Easter treat. I find these a real staple in my collection as they go with anything!

Which pair is your favourite? Would you like me to do more of these?
