Day Trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon

On Thursday, my Boyfriend’s family invited me to go with them to Stratford-Upon-Avon. We walked around the town sightseeing and did a little spot of shopping as we passed.

The first place we visited was the Royal Shakespeare Company. They perform the work of William Shakespeare through workshops which leads to grand performances in theatres to audiences worldwide.

Secondly, was Hall’s Croft. This was the home to Shakespeare’s daughter, Susanna Shakespeare and her husband, Dr John Hall. You can find out all about WW1 and see the garden in which Dr Hall grew his herbs for his treatments.

After there, we went to Shakespeare’s Birthplace. This was full of tourists witnessing the house of a British icon who is recognised worldwide.

We then decided to move away from the town centre and had a walk down the canal and took a well-deserved rest whilst witnessing the changing of the locks in which the boats travelled through. Whilst doing this, we passed the church in which Shakespeare is buried in.

Have you ever been and if so, what did you think about it all?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed
